Can we sponsor our executives to be included in The Asian Banker List of Leading Practitioners (LLP) ?

No. This editorially-driven programme is purely by invitation only. The Asian Banker relies on its in-house research capabilities to choose the banks from each country/business area included in the list. The sponsors whose banners you may see in the LLP pages have no influence whatsoever on The Asian Banker’s decision for an inclusion into the list.

What is its purpose?

The Asian Banker LLP seeks to identify, recognise and mobilize the men and women who are shaping the banking and financial services industry in their respective home markets as well as regional and global practitioners whose work or influence is relevant to the Asia Pacific region. The list deals with areas of:

   1. Industry Stalwarts
   2. Chairmen, CEOs and Presidents
   3. Regulation
   4. Risk Management
   5. Transaction Banking
   6. Retail Banking
   7. Technology and Operations

The most important element of the LLP is the community it seeks foster through the web version of the list. This website of the list will be updated regularly throughout the year and members will be involved in various activities tied to the list such as city level meet-ups, research note reviews, webinars, video interviews, thought leadership sessions etc. which the Asian Banker will organise from time to time. A calendar of upcoming activities and news related to the featured practitioners will be posted regularly on the website.

Is it an annual magazine issue?

Yes, we plan to launch the first magazine edition of the list in 2010 and plan to turn it into an annual event in our print editorial calendar.

Why are my bank’s senior people not included in this list? / Can my bank make submissions?

We do not presume to be exhaustive in our listing and welcome submissions worthy of being listed. We will consider these based on their individual merit and use our criteria to make the final decision.
