Ala’a Eraiqat currently holds the position of CEO of Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, a role he was appointed to in February 2009. Prior to this, he was deputy chief executive officer at ADBC since joining it in January 2004. In addition to his operational duties, Eraiqat plays a key role in strategic decision making at the bank by sitting on many of its steering committees. He has taken part in the bank’s plan for regional diversification, starting off with its 25 percent stake in RHB Capital for $1.23 billion. His 20 years of core banking experience and restructuring project management experience has also seen him hold positions in Citibank and Standard Chartered.
